The combination of snow and palm trees, common in our latitudes, has caught the imagination of international journalists and some have placed the photo just below catastrophic headlines such as "More than 60 deaths due to cold spell in Europe." For the record, the current temperatures in Ticino - although cold - will not make not the Guinness book of records and have caused no deaths: more likely some traffic inconvenience.
