Happy Independance Day

"In the truest sense, freedom cannot be bestowed; it must be achieved."
Franklin D. Roosevelt

Happy Fourth of July! Spend this weekend hanging out with your family and remembering why our country celebrates this patriotic holiday. Grill up some delicious food, make some patriotic crafts, and just kick back, relax, and enjoy the down time with your little ones.

Tell your children the story of the Star Spangled Banner. I've attached a great worksheet by familyeducation.com here.

Martha Stewart can provide you with the coolest decorations.
Find them here: www.marthastewart.com

Sing some patriotic songs which you can choose from an exhaustive song list by bussongs.com here.

Kick back and remember that Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.
